Week 8: David and Bathsheba                                                                                            




    Temptation in the wilderness  (2 Samuel 11 & 12)

    This week we will focus on the comparison of David's temptation centered around Bathsheba and the temptations Jesus experienced. For context, you may want to read Luke 4:1-13.

    Take note how Luke chronicles three temptation. Even though we may think that David experienced one temptation (lust), there were a string of temptations to which David succumbed. To prepare yourself for this weeks discussion, see if you can flesh out David's various temptations and see how they were similarly placed before Jesus (with obviously more favorable results).
